SHOWING SEPARATE SYMBOLS IN THE SCHEDULES

Maybe you should also create a parameter to control the symbol in the Schedule. It would basically be the same as the other parameter controlling its 2D Symbol type, but would be used only in the context of the Schedule.
Something like this in the 2D Script:

Code:
IF GLOB_CONTEXT = 6 THEN
   IF ScheduleSymbolType = "Realistic" THEN
        FRAGMENT2 1,1
   ENDIF
IF ScheduleSymbolType = "Electrical Symbol" THEN
        FRAGMENT2 2,1
   ENDIF
ENDIF

Custom Window - Turn Plaster

The answer is no.
You would have to script the "Turn Plaster" functionality.
There is another way: take a Window in the ARCHICAD Default Library and remove what is not needed, keep the Turn Plaster. (However, Windows are some of the most complex GDL objects, with lots of Macros, so it is not for the faint of heart - but I don't want to discourage you).

I moved all the objects to a new website:

You can find here the free and commercial object.

Thanks for that - you guys have some very nice objects.

Place windows so that they align with interior wall surface?

Im trying to place windows that open outwards and that are anchored to the interior surface of the wall. At the moment they only seem to anchor to the side of the wall that you declare as the exterior which means that I need to manually offset the revel to make them align with the interior.

Is it possible to set the interior face of the wall as the revel anchor point?

thanks

You mean like my window in the wall on the right, placed on the inside of the wall?

You can place it directly on the inside of the wall:

or set the reveal of the window.

Im guessing you mean using the little sun symbol to choose which side of the wall? But if I do this then it means my window is facing the wrong way and the sun shade will be placed inside the building!

Is there a way to align the window reveal to the interior surface so that the window orientates correctly to the outside and so that I dont need to manually enter an off set measurement for the reveal??

I just want the window to align automatically to the interior surface and face outwards. In France this is how most windows are installed.

Ah, I see.
When you're using sun shades I think the only way is to work with reveal.

Hi Guys,
Is there a way to import parameters automatically from one object to other, instead of retype them one by one?

Thanks

Hi!
I have loaded template from archicad 18 to 19.
Now when I try to add sill to window I get error:
file not found at line 1018 in 3d script of the sill.gsm
this is for metal sill.
error number is 476 if I have timber sill.

I tried to reload archicad 19 libraries but problem remained.
What should I do?

I have copied fills from archicad 19 template to my file and problem was solved, but new one emerged. Then I loose all my fills which I need in all of my projects and are connected to building materials. So I have to redefine all building materials. I would be happy to find which fill does archicad need.
Those problem reports are not sufficient and precise enough.

Custom Window - Turn Plaster

That's what I was afraid of.

I am coming from Revit, but my office is totally bought into AC (although no one is exactly an expert). It is pretty disheartening that we can't get windows to work even close to the way we need them to, and there is no way to customize them outside of the already built objects.

The office is pretty reluctant to spend money on additional software, but we probably need to look into the cadimage Window builder tool.

Thanks for the reply Laszlo, I will be here often with questions if I decide it is worth spending the time trying to build a custom window!

Looked but could not find any an information.

With tabs in AC 19, how does one drag an object from
the floor plan and drop it in to a scripting window?

Thanks in advance..

TracyGA, We are having similar issues with custom door panels. Panels that worked in 18 have worked in 19 for a few weeks and are no disappearing from projects and no longer available in the library part drop menu.

It might be an incompatible library part but I haven't added any new leafs to cause a new conflict and am yet to find the part causing the issue.

I am having similar issue. The custom door list doesn't show up in AC18. I tried to reload library, re-create door, opening in AC19 but nothing is working. But it is working perfectly if I create a new PLN file in either AC18 or AC19.

The PLN that having issue with custom door list is actually migrated from AC16. I guess that could be issue.

Use the syringe (CTRL + ALT or CMD + ALT) to select the other object. It will retain the similar parameters this way.

Hi,

yes you can create using a complex profile but it will only generate the horizontal line but what about the vertical lines?

For those playing along at home - undock the plan and 2D script windows from the TAB bar so you can drag from the plan to the script window.

This will copy all of the values of parameters from one object to another with the same parameters.
It doesn't copy the parameters themselves if you are trying to script an object.

You are stuck creating them one by one unless you save an object that has the parameters you want with the 'Use as Subtype' button ticked (top of the scripting dialogue).
This will create a subtype that you can then use in other objects.
Add or delete parameters in the original object and all those using that subtype should automatically adjust.
You can set custom values in each object and hide those parameters you don't want to use.

Barry.

It works thanks, but in a different way; the problem to solve is to make the Schedule counting how many times is placed a single component.
For example, in a plate I could have a power point and a socket; I have 15 of them in my project. the Schedule or the list is always showing me it as 15 linked objects named "Plate with 1 power point and 1 socket"; my target is to reach a schedule showing me that I have 15 power points and 15 sockets.

There's a plugin who manages to do this, but not with objects that I need.

Hope I've been clear and thanks again for helping me
