Thanks for the reply.

I am not seeing that button. I attached a screen shot showing my options.
It appears you are working off of a UK version according to your signature beneath your post. I am working off of the USA version, so I guess that is why we're getting different options. Sadly, I don't see that button...

I don't think it is anywhere else either, but maybe I am wrong. I wonder what other people do to get around this issue.

Is it a Graphics Override setting?
I haven't played around with that much yet but it appears you have the pen thickness from one pen but the colour from another.

Barry.

Hi All,
I'm on the search for a sliding door in AC 19 that allows you to have 1(or more) sliding panels without needing a fixed panel. This would allow me to have a concealed bank of doors hidden behind walls + a residential lift door

Search for a 'pocket' door in your library or in BIMComponents.

I hadn't actually thought about pocket door. But after a quick look, I'm restricted to 1 panel and the double door splits the panel Crying or Very sad
BIMComponents? Do you mean the IFC Items?

I am not sure if there is an option to slide 2 panels one way.
The USA double door says it is 'double or converging'.
I finally downloaded it but can't see an option to slide both panels in the same direction.

You can search the on-line BIMComponents portal (see image) through the object (door) settings dialogue.
You may just get other versions of what you have in the library but sometimes something new pops up.
I am getting an error when I try to download this way but you can go to the website and download from there ... https://bimcomponents.com/Search/pocket

It is very slow to download though.

Observations (2'-12" in Interactive Schedule?)

Hi all. My colleague asked me today if there was a fix for this yet. (see links below) I told him that I could make Excel prompt him when it happens but I was hoping I could prompt him in AC before he sent the schedule to Excel. I was messing around with the lengths of the fill object and found this.

Working in decimal inches in plan, I found that the schedule would display 2'-12" if I manually typed in a length from 23.993" to 23.999".

One thought that occurred to me was the cursor snap range. Is it possible for a larger range to create this situation?

As far as a workaround, is there a way to have the script round up the A parameter to the nearest sixteenth of an inch based on these few thousandths of an inch? If nothing else then if the script could determine if A is within this range then maybe I could have it change the fill to alert the user.

Not sure if any of this will help create a fix but figured I'd share.

Dear all,

I've encountered odd problem, regarding wallhole ID. I made a special window, based on libraries, and wanted to make niche (like in real building I surveyed), but I got errors with wallniche id and also with normal clean opening. In 3D it looks really nice, but in layout it s*cks. Please help.

Well, this is what I came up with. (see below) I put this in the parameter script and it seems to work fine. I'm glad I only had to go to 18'! Which leads me to another question. This is the only way I could think to script it. Is there another way that requires fewer lines of script? A condensed version maybe. It's done so I guess it doesn't matter but just wondering for future reference.

Thanks,
Doug

Thanks Barry. Yes I've had errors with downloading it via object settings dialog box as well. Do you or anyone know if we can have more than 1 door panel for an 'Exterior Sliding Door 19'?

I would try something like this:
Code:
_a = A - INT(A/12") * 12"
if _a > 11.992" and _a < 12" then
    plan_fill = 21
    parameters plan_fill = plan_fill
endif

No Graphic Overrides applied. Also you can see in the dialogue box the "Pen" colour box has disappeared and I think it has allocated one of the blank squares in the Pen Set which you can not use normally for the custom pen.

Do you have Cadimage windows? They can have arched heads. The attached image shows a quick example, but you can view in elevation and stretch node points to get the curve absolutely right. Not entirely sure if the schedule would dimension the curves though.

COONS function and boundary edges visibility

$

Hi&Hello.

I was playing with COONS function to achieve patch that has invisible boundary edges.

Masking parameter that controls visibility looks like this:

Code:
mask = 4*j3 + 8*j4 + 16*j5 + 32*j6 + 64*j7
where jn = 1 or0

When turning off each edge (j) it works fine but suprisingly when all "j" = 0 patch is still showing all 4 boundary edges (see attached fig.)
Have Anyone idea why?
Thanks

Cadimage is a company which (among other things) produces add-ons for Archicad, one of which is for doors and windows. Their website HERE. They're not cheap, but doors and windows in particular are very versatile. I have not used a standard AC window in years.
